It's the SooooooouuuuuuLLLDAT! Soldat is a new FREE game that's sweeping the web. It's very fun and addictive. It's sort of a combination of worms, tribes, counter-strike, and classic deathmatch. The netcode kind of sucks, but even just single player against the bots is great. The newest version has some questionable balance changes, but on the whole, you should definitely check this out. It's only 5 megs to download and takes up a measly 15 megs on your computer when installed. Now, it is in 2d and it is a shooter, which may turn some people off of it, but it's also very fun. Also, for a 2d game, it looks good enough. Your character's little body will flop all about after you've been killed. It's only for Windows, and it requires the most up to date version of Direct X. You can find it at the project's homepage, here. My favorite weapon is the grenade launcher, give it a try.

Economy, you say. Is that like bagels? The latest economic news is worrying. On the one hand, I want the economy to expand and grow and power the US through its continued dominance of this feeble structure you people call the civilized world. Then again, the worse things are, the more likely the democrats are to retake things. I'm not going to root for the economy to sink, but as is, everything's pretty muddled on its own. I personally dislike the stock market. I mean, just think about this sucker for a second; thousands of over-weight men shouting and screaming to determine the value of things that don't exist. I mean, a company can be up 2 dollars one day, and then the next day, some vice-president resigns, and the company's stock tanks. It's the same fucking company that was up 2 the day before, but now suddenly it's dangerous and must plunge 50% in value? It's wild gibberish. I'm sure that it's needed for some advanced economic reason involving capital investment, so don't think that I want it destroyed or anything. To borrow from A Confederacy of Dunces, I ain't no communiss! But I do think the stock market is a thoroughly silly institution that weilds enormous power over our economy but is itself held together by rat droppings and mere perception.

Upon reflection... Upon reflection, Weird Al Yankovic's music parodies were remarkbaly stupid. I mean, some of the later ones like the parody of gangster's paradise were alright, but after a recent reviewing of some of his work thanks to a VH1 special about him, I've discovered that he may not have been the artistic equal of Bach as I once thought. I mean, "Eat it!", "My Bologna!", "Living with a Hernia!", "Like a Surgeon!" I can't be the first to notice that these are the sort of artistic endeavours that most of us might hear kindergardners perform and then quietly pretend to laugh so as to not ruin their fragile self-esteems. I have no problem with the man, but it seems to me that pretty much everything he did before a certain period of time involved changing 2 words in a song and then adding an accordian section. I guess I should just go back to Allan Sherman.

Apple go bye bye? Paul Thurrott over at WinInformant.com has an article up about the future of apple computer. It's an interesting read to say the least, since it involves the very future of apple computer. For those with the attention span of a Rhesus Monkey, here's a summary: Apple and Microsoft no likey each other. MS no likey sales of Office X on Mac OS X. Apple makey dealio with Sun to have OpenOffice (a free alternative to MS Office) ported to Mac OS X. Okay, think about it. Now I'll connect the dots for our simian friends. What this could mean is that Apple is making arrangements with MS competitors in the belief that Microsoft will soon drop all support for the Mac. Now, I'm a windows user tried and true. Hell, I beta tested Windows XP, but the folks at apple still have a place in my heart. I remember playing Brickles and "Sim City Classic" in black & white on my old Mac SE. I even remember playing some terrible plane game with a crappy joystick on the Apple IIc (notice the lack of the word "macintosh" in that title). Personally, I think that while the mac's most loyal users will stay with them to the very end, losing all Microsoft support would really be like kicking Apple in the crotch and then staking a nail through their hands as they grope around on the floor for ice. I mean, even Apple talks about Microsoft support in their advertisings as a prime selling feature of the new iMac. Oh, and on a sidenote, here's a very funny cartoon about "M$ Haters:" Click Here

Drugs Are Bad, mmmkay? Here's a message dedicated to you drug users: Look, I'm really happy for you all and that you've "expanded your minds" by fucking with your brain's chemicals. Now if you really wanna get high, then I know some mad shit that'll really fuck you up good. It's even more available than weed, and it goes by the street name of D. Just look for a big red bottle marked "Drano Max" in your Supermarket's plumbing section. After "experiencing" drano, I promise you that you'll never try any other drugs again. PS: I've heard from reliable sources that it's totally safe and that the government doesn't want you to get it because they hate black people.

They're related events in that both involve things So I'm flipping through the tube and I see 50 beached whales on foxnews. Now that's a pretty grabbing image, so I listen. The anchor was talking to this whale expert, and then the anchor said, and I quote, "Now I don't want to be stretching to make a connection here, ... but whale's are loyal animals, kind of like COAL MINERS..." It's then that I changed the channel. Please just think about that statement for a minute. This guy, nay, this idiot, was actually trying to connect this story about 50 beached whales to the coal miner situation in Pennsylvania. I mean, just imagine the leap in thought required here. Since when, exactly, have whales been known as particularly loyal animals (especially these whales which were actually just large dolphins)? Hell, when were coal miners even thought of as particularly loyal? The media is so breathtakingly stupid sometimes, and gets hooked on such odd little stories, that you get incidents like this, where instead of investigating some corporate corruption scandal, this guy is sitting there comparing beached whales to trapped coal miners.

Hello to no one. This site currently has no content and I haven't even begun to edit the html and make it my own. I was urged to try out this whole blogging thing by Scott "Electric Love Bunker" Ganz and Brooke "Asparagirl" Sl..., Well, S-something. Since there's no content yet I doubt anyone will be visiting. If you do happen across this page and want to know what I'm all about, then here's what you do: Go visit Scott's page. Read his stuff. Now take your image of him. Give it cruder spelling, better hair, and remove all the lesbian-obsessed Elizabeth Hurley fantasies.
